Hi Everyone, just letting you know that the Food Bank will be closed from the 25th of December except for emergency cases on Thursday 28th December (refer as normal or phone if unable to find a referrer) and re-opening on Tuesday the 2nd January.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ⛄️🎅🎄

Friary Christmas Tree Competition Update

Hi Everyone, you may have noticed that our Friary Christmas Competition Tree has been changing! 😀 We have been busy elves removing baubles (putting ‘Donated’ gift tags in their stead) and taking them down to our food bank sessions to gift to clients.

Between the 1st and 8th of December we provided 53 parcels, we fed 86 adults and 63 children. This was our quietest week so we are expecting things to get much busier! We’ve been providing a bauble for everyone in each client household so you can see why our tree had to be packed to the brim at the start!

If you haven’t popped down to see it yet, the Trees are located on the 2nd floor of the Friary on the side nearest North Street. Remember to vote for your favourite as the Charity Tree with the most votes will win £1000!! 🎄

Friary Christmas Tree Festival!!

Hi Everyone, we are taking part in the Friary’s Christmas Tree Festival! 🎄It is located on the second floor on the side nearest North Street.

A number of local charities are involved and have come together to help spread awareness of all the great work they do whilst celebrating the festive season. The Festive Trees will be on public display until the 31st of December. During this time there will be a public vote for the best dressed Christmas Tree with the winning Charity being awarded a £1,000 cash prize.

Our tree has been fully decorated to the brim with donated baubles from our lovely volunteers as well as some hand crafted ones which are hand sewn and others filled with chocolate!

Throughout the Christmas weeks, we will be removing baubles from the tree to donate to clients at our sessions and welcome them to choose from the wonderful selection to spread some of the festive joy this Christmas!

Come along to the Friary with friends and family to see our Tree and remember…every vote counts!! 😀🎄

Hogsback Chapter UK ride!

Hi Everyone! Hogsback Chapter UK collected food donations for us this month and on Saturday, as well as handing over a huge number of donations, they offered our staff, volunteers and the Mayor of Guildford a ride!

We had a fantastic time riding around Guildford, bringing smiles to our faces and those around us. A huge thank you to all involved and for being so generous with their time and resources. Also thanks go to Guildford Harley-Davidson for providing the meet venue and delivery van!
